topics ranging from technical insights and practical applications to tips
on certification. The webinars are open to everyone and offer space for
questions and discussion.\n\nSovereign Cloud Stack (SCS) is a European
open-source project that develops standards for sovereign cloud
infrastructures. The focus is on a cloud infrastructure with genuine
freedom of choice: secure\, interoperable\, vendor-independent and cloud-
native.\nThis webinar answers the most important questions about the
available certificates and the entire certification process.\nIt is aimed
at organizations\, cloud providers\, developers and decision-makers who
are looking for a clear and practical introduction to the SCS
certification.\n\nTo participate\, please register here for free:

DESCRIPTION:SCS Connect is our webinar series about SCS – with exciting
topics ranging from technical insights and practical applications to tips
on certification. The webinars are open to everyone and offer space for
questions and discussion.\n\nIn this webinar\, you will gain first-hand
insights into how the GovStack Initiative\, together with the Sovereign
Cloud Stack (SCS)\, enables sovereign cloud infrastructures worldwide.
Through concrete international examples\, our speakers will show how
countries use SCS to operate secure\, open\, and independent government
clouds while strengthening digital sovereignty. You will learn how open
standards and open source help avoid dependencies and build sustainable
cloud ecosystems. The speakers will also introduce the practical training
and education offerings of GovStack and SCS. You will discover how to use
these materials to build your own cloud expertise and receive support when
getting started with SCS. Of course\, there will be plenty of time for
questions and discussion. Get inspired and benefit from international
experiences around sovereign cloud infrastructures.\n\nWe look forward to

UID:scs-connect-2026-04-23@docs.scs.community
DESCRIPTION:SCS Connect is our webinar series about SCS – with exciting
topics ranging from technical insights and practical applications to tips
on certification. The webinars are open to everyone and offer space for
questions and discussion.\n\nAt the next SCS Connect\, Josefine Kipke will
provide insights into the ECO:DIGIT project and its contribution to
sustainable digital transformation. The focus is on the question of how
resource consumption and the resulting environmental impact of cloud
workloads can be measured transparently and comprehensibly across
different levels of the cloud infrastructure.\nThe project shows how
sustainability monitoring can support cloud providers in providing
companies with reliable data for their ICT carbon footprint. It also
highlights the role of the Sovereign Cloud Stack as a technological
foundation and the concrete findings and results that have already been
achieved.\n\nA session for all those who not only think about Green IT

SUMMARY:SIG Standardization/Certification: extra session
UID:sig-std-crt-2026-06-25@docs.scs.community
DESCRIPTION:In this Special Interest Group\, we discuss and align our
activities and approach to standardization and certification. That is to
say\, we devise and refine the relevant concepts and processes\; we work
on a roadmap for new certificate versions\; and we align on which
standards are desireable for each certificate subject. We then work with
the teams to align on existing or new standards.\n\nBesides aspects of
openness and sovereignty\, the main goal of our standards is
interoperability. We should take the user perspective: As a member of a
DevOps team developing a service (think SaaS or PaaS) for SCS\, I need
XYZ. Every standard should be abstract enough to work regardless of the
SCS reference implementation.\n\nThis SIG is a joint effort by SCS and
 ALASCA.\n\nMinutes:
